Rock in Rio becomes a book

The Rock and Rio festival is becoming a book, which is going to be written by the journalist Luiz Felipe Carneiro. "Rock in Rio – The history of the biggest music festival in the world” by Editora Globo, is the result of a research that includes more than two million articles and interviews with several artists, music critics and organizers.

Carneiro reminds those who went to one or all the three editions of Rock in Rio in Brazil in 1985, 1991 e 2001, he collects the most memorable and unusual stories for those who never went but heard stories about the festival, and at the same time he offers a preview for those who are attending this years festival on the following dates 23, 24, 25 e 29, 30 of September and 1, 2 of October.

Illustrated with more than 200 hundred pictures and testimonies of people like Brian May, Evandro Mesquita, Charles Gavin, Leo Jaime, Tony Belloto and the “father” of the festival, Roberto Medina, and others, Rock in Rio – The history of the biggest music festival in the world rescues the history of the event, helps to understand the contexts that were made in three editions and shows the development of the show business industry.

The book is made with anthological statements that comes from the in and outside the stages, like the one from Rod Stewart playing soccer with his team in a luxurious hotel left in horrible state, or about the dinner with the vocal of Guns'n'Roses, Axl Rose, producers, room cleaners from the festival team. The behind-scenes, the unforgettable moments, the fooling out and curiosities as the unbelievable requests made by Brazilian artists and foreigners are all gathered in this book.
