Globo acquires broadcating rights for the 2012 Paralympic Games

Even though Record holds the broadcasting rights for the 2016 Olympic Games, Globo isn’t out of the Olympic scene. The network recently acquired the screening rights for the 2012 Paralympics, which take place in London between 29th of August and 9th of September.
The channel will air live competitions and news reports on a daily basis.
The rights were purchased by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee in 2004 and 2008, which produced the images and passed them on to the networks concerned.
